Fundamental and applied research in the design and preparation of lightweight heterogeneous structured metal matrix composites via powder metallurgy, along with their strengthening and toughening mechanisms; full-process design, fabrication, and application research of additively manufactured metal matrix composites; metallurgical fundamentals and interface regulation mechanisms and technologies between nano-reinforcements and metal matrices; and synergistic strengthening mechanisms and application research of structurally and functionally integrated metal matrix composites.
