As we ring out the old year and ring in the new, on behalf of the university, we extend our best New Year wishes to all faculty members, students, retired staff, alumni at home and abroad, and friends from all sectors of society who have long cared for and supported the development of Xi’an University of Technology.
The year 2025 marked the concluding year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, a critical year for further advancing comprehensive reform, and an extraordinary year in the development of Xi’an University of Technology. Faced with the important mission of striving for “Double First-Class” status, we have stayed committed to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, earnestly implemented the new development strategy of “Two Historic Transformations”, upheld our distinctive strengths in key industries, innovated university-local integration, and strengthened international education. We tackled the toughest challenges, broke through bottlenecks through reform and innovation, and delivered a remarkable and valuable development report.
We took root in Party building, and led the high-quality development of the university’s undertakings through the deep integration of Party building and core work. The morale of faculty and students in pursuing endeavors and entrepreneurship has been further boosted, and the positive energy of uniting as one to pursue development has been further gathered.
We upheld our responsibility of education, taking the effectiveness of fostering virtue through education as the fundamental criterion for evaluating all work of the university. We promoted the integration of industry and education as well as the integration of science and education, accelerated the adjustment and optimization of discipline and major structures, and strived to build a new distinctive talent training system. The organized training of top innovative talents has been continuously deepened, making the gold-lettered signboard of talent training even brighter.
We adopted reform measures to coordinate the integrated reform of the systems and mechanisms for education, science and technology, and talent development. We continued to integrate into the regional innovation strategic layout, improved the talent evaluation system, and accelerated the deep integration of the talent chain, education chain, innovation chain and industrial chain.
We inspired the momentum of development, taking discipline construction as the leading task, talent introduction and cultivation as the core, scientific and technological innovation as the guide, and open education as the driving force. We promoted all aspects of the university’s development to a new level, with continuous emergence of high-end innovative achievements and sustained expansion of international education cooperation.
We improved people’s well-being, taking the satisfaction of faculty and students as the goal, and steadily promoted key livelihood projects. We optimized campus services, improved the campus environment, and enhanced the well-being of faculty and students, significantly raising their sense of gain and happiness.
We jointly painted the beauty of Xi’an University of Technology, continuously enhancing the university’s influence. Various major events gathered friends from far and wide, cultural activities nourished the heart and enlightened the mind, the university was widely reported by media at all levels, and its brand image has been continuously demonstrated.
All the past is prologue; with hope in heart, we will surely reach far. In 2026, we will focus on the national strategy of the “Trinity” development of education, science and technology, and talent, thoroughly practice the people-centered development philosophy, take the implementation of the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education as the main line, take promoting high-quality development as the theme, and take ensuring and improving people’s livelihood as the focus. We will further deepen comprehensive education reform, coordinate the promotion of the integration of industry and education as well as the integration of science and education, continuously improve the ability to independently cultivate top innovative talents, accelerate the construction of a new discipline development system, build first-class innovation platforms, cultivate first-class innovative talents, and produce first-class innovative achievements. We will strongly support the self-reliance and self-improvement of high-level science and technology, research and launch a number of practical livelihood policies and measures, and promote a fuller, more secure and more sustainable sense of gain, happiness and security for all faculty and students with tangible development results. We will strive to deliver an even more outstanding “XUT Report” in the grand practice of building a strong country through education!
