On the afternoon of November 28, a delegation from the Institute of Economics and Trade of Tajik State University of Commerce (IET TSUC), led by President Jalilzoda Abdurashit and Director of the International Office Saidqosim Mukhtorov, visited Xi’an University of Technology. Ma Liang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of the University, met with the delegation in the First Reception Room.
Ma Liang welcomed the visiting delegation and introduced the university’s overall development, including its historical background, institutional scale, disciplinary structure, talent cultivation system, and international cooperation initiatives. He noted that, in recent years, under the framework of the China–Central Asia cooperation mechanism, Xi’an University of Technology has continuously deepened substantive collaboration with universities in Central Asian countries and has achieved notable progress in areas such as joint laboratory construction and international talent cultivation. He expressed hope that the visit would serve as an opportunity to promote in-depth cooperation between the two universities in joint student training, disciplinary development, and faculty exchanges.
Jalilzoda Abdurashit expressed sincere appreciation for the warm reception extended by the university and introduced the institutional scale, academic program development, international exchange activities, and talent cultivation practices of IET TSUC. He emphasized that the university attaches great importance to cooperation with Xi’an University of Technology and expressed interest in expanding collaborative channels in disciplines such as economics and trade, artificial intelligence, and information technology, with the aim of achieving substantive progress in faculty and student exchanges and joint academic programs.
Following the meeting, the two sides held a specialized consultation session to further advance cooperative initiatives. Discussions focused on faculty and student exchanges, semester-based exchange programs, student internship and practical training opportunities, joint training models, and international student education. The two universities reached a preliminary consensus on specific arrangements for the next stage of cooperation and agreed that the partnership holds significant potential for future development. The consultation meeting was chaired by Jiang Xiaolong, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.
The delegation subsequently visited the Industrial Internet Laboratory of the School of Computer Science and Engineering and expressed strong recognition of the laboratory’s advanced hardware facilities and application scenarios.
Representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the School of Economics and Management accompanied the delegation during the visit.
