From October 31 to November 3, the final round of the 19th “Challenge Cup” National Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Competition for College Students was successfully held at Nanjing University. During this year’s competition, Xi’an University of Technology achieved a historic breakthrough by being invited, for the first time, to participate in the “Innovation for National Development” thematic presentation and award ceremony as a representative award-winning team.
At the ceremony, Kang Feng, an international student from Tajikistan and a member of the university’s “Intangible Cultural Heritage Integration and International Exchange Practice Team,” delivered a project presentation on behalf of the team. Following a rigorous selection process by the organizing committee, only seven projects nationwide were shortlisted for this presentation segment. Xi’an University of Technology shared the stage with teams from leading universities including Tsinghua University, Nanjing University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Southern University of Science and Technology, and the University of Macau, fully demonstrating the innovative capabilities of XUT students.
The university ultimately achieved outstanding results, winning one Second Prize and two Third Prizes in the main competition, as well as one Third Prize in the “Artificial Intelligence Plus” special category. In addition, during the earlier “Challenge-Based Competition” special event, Xi’an University of Technology secured one Grand Prize, marking another major breakthrough in the university’s competition achievements.
