From January 22 to 27, Li Zhijun, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Xi’an University of Technology, led a delegation to visit universities and enterprises in Nanjing, Hefei, and Guangzhou. The delegation conducted field research and institutional visits, expanded university–enterprise collaboration to promote graduate employment opportunities, paid courtesy visits to academicians and distinguished experts, and participated in alumni forum activities.
During his visit to Guangzhou, Li Zhijun visited Guangdong University of Technology and held in-depth discussions with Bai Jiangang, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Guangdong University of Technology and an outstanding alumnus of Xi’an University of Technology (Class of 1990). He also toured the university history museum and key laboratories. Li expressed that the visit provided an important opportunity to further explore in-depth cooperation between the two universities in interdisciplinary integration and collaborative scientific innovation. He emphasized strengthening cooperation in jointly building and sharing research platforms, conducting coordinated research on key technologies, and cultivating top-tier innovative talents, thereby contributing to China’s initiative to build a strong education system.
In Hefei, Li Zhijun visited Changhong Meiling Co., Ltd. and iFLYTEK Co., Ltd. to advance university–enterprise cooperation and expand employment channels for students. He toured production lines and innovation exhibition halls and held discussions with enterprise representatives. Li noted that both sides should further broaden and deepen cooperation in areas including the cultivation of high-level innovative talents, development of internship and practical training bases, joint scientific research initiatives, and co-establishment of major research platforms. He also expressed hope that enterprises would expand campus recruitment efforts to provide more employment opportunities for students of Xi’an University of Technology.
Li Zhijun also attended the Third Alumni Forum of the Anhui Alumni Association. He pointed out that alumni working and developing their careers in Anhui have made significant contributions across various sectors and positions, injecting strong momentum into local development and bringing honor to their alma mater. He expressed his expectation that alumni from all sectors would seize development opportunities, leverage their professional strengths, and provide multifaceted support for the university’s development, jointly contributing to the advancement of Xi’an University of Technology toward becoming a first-class university.
During the visit, Li Zhijun also paid courtesy visits to several academicians and distinguished experts, extending sincere greetings and New Year wishes while attentively listening to their valuable suggestions and recommendations regarding the university’s development.
