To further deepen university–enterprise cooperation, promote the integration of industry and education, and better align talent cultivation with industry demands, President Liu Yunhe led a delegation to visit Xi’an Lixin Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Lixin Optoelectronics”), an alumni-founded enterprise, on January 22. During the visit, Liu held discussions with Li Bo, Chairman of Lixin Optoelectronics and an alumnus of Xi’an University of Technology, Li Qingmin, General Manager, and members of the company’s core management team.
The delegation toured the company’s production workshops, research and development laboratories, and product exhibition areas, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company’s core strengths and development achievements in semiconductor laser chip research and development, manufacturing, and market applications.
At the symposium, Liu Yunhe introduced the university’s recent progress in talent cultivation, disciplinary development, scientific and technological innovation, and social service. He emphasized that promoting the coordinated development of education, science and technology, and talent cultivation is essential for serving national strategic priorities. Liu expressed his expectation that, building upon previous cooperation, both sides would further deepen joint talent training, expand industry–university–research collaborative projects, promote coordinated technological innovation, strengthen the joint establishment of practical training bases, and enhance employment and talent recruitment initiatives, thereby achieving resource sharing, mutual benefit, and the cultivation of high-quality professionals to meet industry development needs.
Li Bo provided a detailed introduction to the company’s development history, business layout, core technologies, and future development plans. He noted that, as an alumni enterprise, Lixin Optoelectronics has always maintained close ties with its alma mater. Currently in a phase of rapid growth, the company has an increasing demand for highly skilled technical professionals and innovative talents. He expressed his hope to further strengthen cooperation with the university through the joint establishment of practice bases and collaborative research and development projects, achieving seamless integration between talent training and industrial demand, and jointly contributing to the high-quality development of the semiconductor laser industry.
Zhang Wei, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Automation and Information Engineering, and Li Qingmin signed the Agreement on the Joint Establishment of a University Student Employment and Education Practice Base on behalf of both parties, followed by an unveiling ceremony.
Representatives from the Office of the CPC Committee, the President’s Office, and the School of Automation and Information Engineering participated in the visit and exchange activities.
