Recently, with the completion of online teaching for the Fall Semester of 2025 and the finalization of platform data statistics, six high-quality online courses independently developed by Xi’an University of Technology have been officially approved and fully launched on two major national online education platforms—Chinese University MOOC and Zhihuishu. These courses are now open free of charge to faculty members, students, and the general public nationwide, marking another significant achievement in the university’s efforts to deepen education and teaching reform and promote the sharing of high-quality educational resources.

Guided by the Ministry of Education’s “Double Ten-Thousand Plan” and the initiative to develop “Golden Courses,” the university has consistently regarded the construction of open online courses as a key approach to advancing educational informatization and promoting educational equity. The six newly launched courses were coordinated by the Academic Affairs Office and the Laboratory Management Office, with each school selecting distinguished instructors and core faculty members to form dedicated course development teams. Through multiple stages of rigorous quality control—including course design, content refinement, technical adaptation, pilot operation, and optimization—the courses were successfully launched. During the development process, the teams fully utilized the university’s technological strengths, including the 4K Online Education Production Base and the multi-level cross-campus online education platform. Modern teaching methodologies such as virtual simulation experiments, live interactive seminars, and flipped classroom approaches were integrated, along with a comprehensive learning assessment system and learning analytics functions, ensuring improvements in both course quality and learning outcomes.

The successful launch of these courses has further enriched the university’s online teaching resource portfolio and expanded the outreach of high-quality educational resources. As of December 2025, a total of 59 online courses developed by the university have been operating steadily on platforms such as Zhihuishu, Chinese University MOOC, and XuetangX. The course system covers multiple disciplinary fields, including engineering, science, management, humanities, and arts, and encompasses professional core courses, general education courses, and industry-specific courses, forming a large-scale, high-quality cluster of online educational resources. Data indicates that these courses have reached learners across all 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities nationwide, with cumulative enrollments from more than 1,200 higher education institutions, benefiting over 700,000 students and receiving widespread recognition from faculty and students across partner universities.

Moving forward, the university will take the launch of these six courses as a new starting point to further strengthen the cultivation of “Golden Courses,” optimize the construction and operational mechanisms of online courses, and promote the dissemination of more high-quality teaching resources beyond campus to serve society. By leveraging educational informatization, the university aims to enhance talent cultivation quality, contribute to the development of a high-level university, and support China’s national strategy of building a strong education system.
